Having won our first game in the competition last month, we hosted the Cherries hoping to build some momentum in the group stage to qualify for the knockout rounds.

It was a tight affair in Seagrave which could have gone either way, however it was the visitors who emerged with the points as midfielder Ethan Sills found the decisive only goal of the game in the 70th minute.

We remain second in Group B on three points, thanks to that Plymouth success, with Cardiff, Bournemouth and us all on the same total.

We don't play again in the PL Cup until the visit of Cardiff on 9 October, with a trip to Brighton & Hove Albion next up in PL2 next Friday (7pm BST kick-off).
