We welcome Stoke City to King Power Stadium on Saturday (3pm GMT kick-off)
Leicester City head into the Sky Bet Championship clash on the back of a 2-1 win at Norwich City
Manager Martí Cifuentes says he wants to reward the supporters’ loyalty this weekend, with home form in need of improvement
He also praised Stoke for their start to the season, which has them currently sitting third in the table
We’re back on home soil after the international break, which was preceded by a 2-1 win at Norwich City, ending a run of five league games without a victory.
City have often headed into the international breaks with a win, but not been able to capitalise afterwards – something which the Manager is eager to fix this weekend.
Stoke, though, have made a promising start to the 25/26 Sky Bet Championship campaign, with Mark Robins’ men sitting third in the table having conceded the least amount of goals in the entire division (just 10 in 15 matches).

These are all reasons to be wary that Cifuentes pointed to in Friday’s press conference, however he’s also determined to repair our home form, having not won in LE2 since August – a 2-0 victory over Birmingham City.
“All the games are big in the Championship and all the games are important,” the Manager told reporters.
“Definitely, for us, we want to build on the good result that we got against Norwich. It’s true that, in the last international breaks, we finished all of them in a good way with a victory.
“It feels a little bit like we need to make sure that we do better than what we did in the start after these kind of breaks.
“We’re playing a team that is doing really well, that has started the season in good shape, getting good results. Mark is doing a very good job with the players and we need to be ready. We know that they’re a dangerous team in counters.
“They’re a team with the best defensive record in the league when it comes to goals conceded. This period now is important. There’s not going to be any break until March when it’s the next international break.
“To play at home after the Norwich game, it must be a plus for us, so hopefully we can deliver a good performance.”
Getting more wins on the board at King Power Stadium is a priority for Cifuentes, who wants that uptick in home form to begin on Saturday.
“It’s very important,” he added. “It’s too much. Especially with the support we got against Norwich, from all the fans that travelled, we want to give them something back.
“It’s important to make sure that our form at home gets better, to be in the place in the table that we want to be.”
