Franco Ravizzoli signs for Leicester City
The goalkeeper has penned a three-year deal with the Foxes
He has experience playing with Blackpool, Wycombe Wanderers and MK Dons
The 29-year-old adds further experience to our goalkeeping ranks having made 99 career appearances for the likes of Eastbourne Borough, MK Dons, Wycombe Wanderers, and most recently Blackpool.
Speaking to LCFC.com, he said: "I'm absolutely delighted to be here. As soon as I heard about the Club's interest, I just knew I couldn't turn the opportunity down. I feel ready for a new challenge and am really looking forward to working with [Russell Martin] again.
“Leicester is a big Club with ambitions to be successful again, and I will give everything to help them on that journey. I’ve heard great things about the Club, the city and the fans so it feels like the right place for me to keep improving. I'm looking forward to working hard every day to challenge for a place in the team; I can’t wait to get going.”
Born in Mar del Plata, Argentina, Franco started out with Independiente and Quilmes before joining the youth system at River Plate.
In January 2020, he signed for sixth-tier Eastbourne Borough, featuring 30 times prior to switching to MK Dons in June 2021. Following two seasons at Stadium MK, Franco moved to Wycombe Wanderers and played on 52 occasions in all competitions for the Chairboys, later signing for Blackpool in the summer of 2025.
Franco now links up with us ahead of our first league fixture of the 2026/27 season when we travel to Notts County on Saturday 15 August.
