We're just under six weeks away from the start of the season, when we will welcome Sheffield Wednesday to King Power Stadium for a 4:30pm BST kick-off, live on Sky Sports, on Sunday 10 August.
Following on from that, we’ve mapped out some of the key dates throughout our 46-game schedule for you to get into your diaries.
A tough ask, when current weather conditions are as hot as they are, but let’s look ahead to our Christmas games; the good news is we will be hosting the Boxing Day festivities, with Watford making the trip to the East Midlands.

A week later on New Year's Day, we turn visitors, but only for the short trip to face Rubén Sellés’ Sheffield United at Bramall Lane – a side that will be aiming for the heights again this year, having narrowly missed out in the Championship Play-Off Final last season, despite reaching an impressive 90 points.
In between the two, a home fixture takes place on Monday 29 December, when another Midlands outfit in the form of Derby County to come on Filbert Way.
Pushing on towards Easter, we will welcome Preston North End, who we haven’t played since our title-winning trip to Deepdale two years ago, on Good Friday (3 April, 2026).
Easter Monday brings the reverse fixture against Sheffield Wednesday, marking the start of the run-in towards the end of season.
Three of the last five games see us play on home soil, but it will be a trip to Ewood Park to play Blackburn Rovers, that will bring an end to proceedings.
Our last Championship fixture, which was against Blackburn, saw us lift the trophy.
That will be the second consecutive time the Foxes have concluded their Championship season against Rovers, as Sammie Szmodics, the league’s top scorer that year, scored twice in a 2-0 away win back in 2024.
Of course, that didn’t stop the party on Filbert Way, with promotion back to the top flight already secured prior to the first whistle.
One last note to make is the date for the Championship Play-Off Final, which will take place on Saturday 23 May, 2026, under the arch at Wembley Stadium.
