Saturday’s 0-0 draw at MK Dons was a frustrating one for Russell Martin’s Foxes, as we returned from Buckinghamshire with a solitary point despite dominating proceedings at Stadium MK.

Sammy Braybrooke and Jayden Joseph struck the woodwork, with City, particularly in the second half, keeping the pressure on Paul Warne’s men throughout the contest.

Plymouth Argyle visit King Power Stadium on Tuesday evening in the first of two Sky Bet League One contests on home soil this week – and Thomas is confident a first three points of 26/27 is coming soon.

“If we can continue on the path we’ve been on in the past two games, the results will definitely come,” the Academy graduate said on Saturday.

“We’ll get opportunities to get into their box, so I’m sure if we continue that, be brave on the ball, show that intensity that we’ve shown in the last two games, then we’ll be getting wins on the board.”

Reflecting on MK Dons in more detail, he said: “I felt like we did enough to win the game. We just couldn’t get the ball in the back of the net.

“We had a lot of chances towards the end of the game. We obviously controlled possession, got into the final third, and it was just about getting the ball in the goal.

“On another day, we win that game, so we’ll move onto Tuesday, where hopefully we can get some goals and get the win.

“It felt like attack vs. defence really. We were relentless, winning the ball back. They were quite direct towards the end, so as soon as we won it, we were in their half and attacking them again.

“We couldn’t get the ball in the back of the net but hopefully the goals will come and the results will come.”

Thomas, 25, has been playing in the left centre-back position for our last two games and is enjoying the challenge of adapting to a different requirement.

“It’s quite an easy adaption really,” he added. “As a full-back, it’s quite similar. You probably get a bit more time on the ball when you’re playing there, but it’s the same really.

“They had two up front [at MK Dons] it was about dealing with that and I felt like me and Soutts (Harry Souttar) did quite well with that. I’m enjoying it.”
