  • This weekend’s fixture dedicated to the Disability Matters campaign
  • Initiative highlights our commitment to inclusivity and how we support fans with disabilities
  • Our Disability Support Association will have a presence inside the Foxes Fanstore and Fan Zone
  • We’ll welcome City supporter and England deaf international Harry Boorman to the game as a special guest
The initiative highlights our commitment to inclusivity and how we support fans with disabilities to enjoy the matchday experience on Filbert Way.
On matchday, we’ll welcome members our Disability Support Association, who will have an information stall inside the Foxes Fanstore and a presence in our popular Fan Zone.
The DSA are an independent organisation dedicated to representing the interests of supporters with disabilities and work closely with us to assist fans who have any kind of limiting disability to feel comfortable and that they are treated with respect and dignity.
Here are some of our key matchday accessibility features:
  • Dedicated Stewarding Team: On matchdays, a specialised team assists supporters with disabilities to ensure an enjoyable experience.
  • Wheelchair Accessibility: All areas of the stadium are accessible to wheelchair users, with designated spaces and wheelchair accessible turnstiles in all stands.
  • Accessible Toilets: Concourse areas are equipped with accessible toilets, accessible via RADAR keys available from stewards or staff members. There is also a changing facility located in the South Stand, please speak to a steward for assistance.
  • Sensory Packs: Include ear defenders, fidget spinners, sensory tangles and further matchday information, designed to create a more comfortable and enjoyable experience.
  • Audio Descriptive Service: Visually impaired fans can access headsets providing full descriptive commentary, available from the matchday staff entrance (located next to Gate 13 in the South Stand) 90 minutes before kick-off.
  • Access Cards: These help matchday stewards identify individuals who may require access to accessible entrances, toilets and seating. While designed to support fans with hidden disabilities, the cards are available to all supporters with a disability.
  • Catering: Available in every stand throughout the stadium and fitted with lower-level counters. Stewards can assist with ordering and transporting food and drink to designated seating areas.
  • Accessible Coach Travel: We also provide wheelchair accessible coach travel for all away fixtures throughout the season. This can be booked via our Sales Team on 0344 815 5000 (option 1).
The game this weekend will also see us host Harry Boorman, a Foxes supporter from Hinckley who represents the England deaf football team.
Harry and his family will be special guests for this fixture and he will be introduced pitchside to the Blue Army at half-time.
Alongside this, leading the Foxes out as mascot will be young fan Oliver Robey, while our player escorts will be representatives from Leicester City in the Community’s Kicks programme.
The Disability Matters fixture is an opportunity to celebrate and showcase our ongoing work in making football accessible to all.
