  • Leicester City and OH Leuven are to take part in a pre-season exercise on Saturday
  • The friendly will consist of four 45-minute phases, with 15-minute breaks every 45 minutes, to enable three City XIs playing an hour in Seagrave
  • You can watch along live for free on YouTube and Foxes Hub on Saturday
The game at LCFC Training Ground on Saturday (3pm kick-off) will consist of four 45-minute phases, allowing as many players as possible to get up to 60 minutes in their legs as we approach the end of our second week of summer work.
Last weekend, two XIs played 45 minutes each in the 3-1 victory over Peterborough United, a traditional 90-minute contest. Louis Page's brace and a curled effort from Silko Thomas got our pre-season programme of games off to a winning start in north Leicestershire.
OHL Format Explanation
The ambition this time, against OHL, is to enable three line-ups to benefit from an hour of game exposure – further building their fitness through July. The fixture will have three 15-minute breaks every 45 minutes, with substitutions taking place at selected intervals to help manage the players’ match preparedness at this key phase in pre-season.
“We’ll have two 90-minutes, so three teams will play an hour,” Coach Andy King outlined this week. “All 30 players get an hour of football and we can build on the 45 which we had last Saturday. We got everything we wanted out of that and we’ve got everything we wanted out of this week so far.

“If we can tick off another week by getting through an hour after double sessions and with fatigue, carrying tiredness, I think that puts us in a really good place. It’s about sharpness and ball control now. With the ball they are a lot cleaner with their first touch and the quality of their pass.
“Forty-five minutes can be difficult sometimes. You feel like you are just getting into the game and then it stops, so it’s a good chance for the players to showcase themselves over a longer period. Hopefully everyone can do that.”
You can watch the game live – and for free – on YouTube and Foxes Hub on Saturday, with the broadcast starting at 2:45pm. All times BST.
