We are set to face Barnsley at Oakwell in Sky Bet League One on Saturday (12:30pm BST kick-off)
Manager Russell Martin had no fresh injuries to report in Friday's press conference
Conor Chaplin remains out but will benefit from the international break, the Manager says
A full week of work in Seagrave has been good for the group after a busy end to August
While Jakub Stolarczyk and Ben Nelson are out for the long-term, Caleb Okoli and Conor Chaplin are among those who have been absent from matchday squads over recent weeks.
Nobody new has been added to the injury list over the past week, however, as Leicester City look to build on last Saturday’s 4-3 victory at Stockport County.
“We’re all good,” the Manager told reporters in Seagrave on Friday. “We’re looking forward to it. The hardest thing has been picking a team and picking the bench and having to leave some people out.”
Asked on Chaplin’s progress, Martin added: “[He’s] good. He’ll be in a good place after the international break. We’ll utilise this time.
“Of course, there’s always a temptation to try and bring him back in quickly, but we just have to be patient. After the international break, I think it’ll be really good for him because he’ll have some training time and then he’ll be back after that.”
After a busy spell at the end of August, with three games in eight days and the summer transfer deadline to contend with, we’ve had a full week to prepare for Barnsley.
That has been a positive for Martin and his squad, with an international break also on the horizon after next Tuesday’s EFL Trophy encounter with Fulham U21s.
“It’s been invaluable,” he explained. “We had to train so hard last week. John [Lundstram], Warren [O'Hora] and these guys haven’t been here very long.
“They had to adapt to that very quickly. A week of work will definitely help them out and help us out. Then we have a break – where we have quite a few players, because they’re good players, going away on international duty.
“The guys here will work really hard and they’ll keep getting better and better and the group will grow with more training time.”
