Monday night’s fixture, an 8pm kick-off on Filbert Way, sees us welcome the Baggies to LE2 for a first Sky Bet Championship home clash of the New Year, aiming to produce a much better performance than in the 3-1 reverse to Sheffield United on 1 January.
In conversation with CITY, our official matchday publication, the winger assessed the season so far and the tough run of form that we have endured in recent weeks, with victory over Derby County on home soil the only source of seasonal cheer for the Blue Army, coming in the midst of three defeats.

“I’d say [it’s been] a bit stop-start,” the 27-year-old admitted, looking back over the first half of 25/26. “There’s been some good moments and some not so good ones. We’re working on a new system and we’re still adapting to that which takes time.
“I think that’s normal when you have a new Manager – we’ve only been working together for six months or so. Obviously, it’s not going to be perfect but, like I said, we’re still working hard on it. It does take some time to get back up and find your rhythm again.”
The attacker recently brought up a century of appearances in Leicester blue and is proud to represent the Foxes, having done so since 2023, but is keen to improve his output further, having been involved in three goals this term.

“I’ve loved it,” he said on his time with City to date, since joining from Montpellier. “It’s a special club and it’s a special milestone for me. I’ve embraced it and enjoyed every bit of the ride.
“I think I can contribute a bit more to the team, but every player can also do more. We’re working on ourselves daily and trying to implement the ideas of our Manager.”
