A second successive away fixture for the side coached by Adam Barradell, we were aiming to bounce back from defeat at Ipswich Town and got on the front foot in the first half, leading through Jake Fletcher's strike 26 minutes in.
It took the Seagulls seven second-half minutes to equalise on the South Coast, via Raffaele Oppong, though Harry Jacklin, off the bench just a few minutes earlier, restored our advantage almost immediately.
Substitute Joseph Colangelo-Allen looked to have put the game beyond Brighton with a Leicester third seven minutes from time, but incredibly, the hosts hit back twice in stoppage-time to level the scores.
Firstly through captain Tate Ferdinand, and then Liam Crutchett three minutes later, Albion ensured they would take a share of the spoils.
It leaves City sixth in U18 Premier League South, on 31 points from 21 matches, ahead of tackling Tottenham Hotspur at LCFC Training Ground this Saturday (12pm GMT kick-off).
The details...
City: Stretton, Sutherington (Jacklin 48'), Adedeji (c), Lawrence, Simons (Daniels 45'), Corden, Manyumba, Boothe, de Lisle, Owusu, Fletcher (Colangelo-Allen 74').
Subs not used: Hames, Aideed.
Goals: Fletcher 26', Jacklin 54', Colangelo-Allen 83'.
