A second successive home defeat to north London opposition, it became a difficult day for the young Foxes at LCFC Training Ground, who lost 7-0, falling behind after seven minutes; Tynan Thompson breaking the deadlock early on.

It took just another four minutes for Ellis Lehane to double the advantage in Seagrave, prior to Junai Byfield adding a third inside 20 minutes, getting on the end of Harry Byrne’s free-kick.

Miracle Adewole made it 4-0 soon after the restart, quickly followed by Lehane’s second of the game – a brace of assists for Luca Williams-Barnett, who then got in on the act himself with 20 to play.

Lehane completed his hat-trick, converting a penalty to round off the scoring and leave City 10th in the standings, on 23 points from 22 games, with two matches remaining this term.

The Foxes youngsters head to Southampton on Saturday, a 1pm kick-off at Staplewood Training Ground, prior to making the short trip to Aston Villa on Tuesday 6 May (6pm kick-off).
