The Foxes youngsters concluded the group stage with a third defeat from four, though it was another valuable experience against senior opposition at Mangata Pay UK Stadium.

Lewis Richardson broke the deadlock for the home side inside eight minutes, but City hit back shortly after courtesy of centre-back Kevon Gray.

Two minutes later, Jake Evans turned the game on its head with a goal of his own, prior to Kirsten Otchere making it 3-1 to the visiting Foxes on the half-hour mark.

Richardson netted his second before the break to give the Wood hope of shifting the momentum in their favour and the hosts would continue to do just that via the penalty spot. Luke Norris converted to restore parity.

Five minutes later, Jon Benton completed the turnaround to maintain a 100 per cent record in Group B for Luke Garrard's side, who sit at the summit, while City are seventh.
