Tynan Thompson's effort for Spurs, in the 27th minute, was the difference at Lamex Stadium in Stevenage, as we missed out on the chance to go one further than last term and reach the quarter-finals.
Instead it is Spurs who will face either Chelsea or Middlesbrough in the last-eight.
Despite this disappointment, it's been another positive year for the side coached by Leon McSweeney, with wins over the likes of Leeds (3-2), Arsenal (5-1) and Birmingham City (6-2) among the highlights, as several exciting prospects continued through the pathway both from the Under-18s and into the First Team.
We finished ninth in the final PL2 standings, having collected 31 points from the 20 matches, qualifying us for this knockout stage of the season.
