Having lost to Braintree Town in the opening group stage fixture last month, the side coached by Leon McSweeney were on the road again this week, facing another Enterprise National League side in the form of the Stones.
It was the home side who found the breakthrough at Grosvenor Vale with Sakariya Hassan finding the back of the net on 24 minutes.
The young Foxes rallied against the senior opposition, however, and equalised seven minutes ahead of the break, Jake Evans setting up Logan Briggs to level the scores.
But it would be the hosts who claimed all three Group B points via Max Kretzschmar's goal six minutes from time, maintaining Wealdstone's 100 per cent record after two matches.
As for City, it's Forest Green Rovers up next in our final group fixtures on Tuesday 21 October, but before then there's a trio of Premier League 2 encounters to contest.
Firstly hosting Tottenham Hotspur at LCFC Training Ground this Friday, Blackburn Rovers are then the visitors to Seagrave on Monday (all 7pm kick-offs).
The details...
City: French, Cover, Gray, Amartey (Onanaye 64'), Ali; Donnelly (Omobolaji 82'), Neale, Evans (Golding 82'), Briggs, Pennant; Richards (Popov 64').
Unused subs: Donohue, Otchere.
Goal: Briggs 37'.
All times BST.
