Louis Page and Silko Thomas take part in Premier League Kicks programme
Academy graduates joined in with a football activity at Beaumont Park
Project helps develop skills, confidence and enjoyment of the game
The duo spent time with a group of 20 youngsters, taking part in a range of football drills designed to help participants develop their skills, confidence and enjoyment of the game.
Our Academy graduates worked closely with those involved, offering encouragement, advice and demonstrations throughout the session.
The Premier League Kicks project, funded through the Premier League Foundation, uses the power of football and sport to inspire young people to reach their potential, in some of the most high-need areas of the country.
The initiative provides a safe and positive environment where participants can regularly engage in football, sport and wider personal development opportunities.
Louis said: “It was great to come down here and see the Premier League Kicks programme in action. The kids were really enthusiastic, and it was brilliant to see them all enjoying themselves.
“We know that football brings people together, not just for developing skills on the pitch but building things like confidence and teamwork too.
“Being able to share our experiences with them and help out with some drills was something we both really enjoyed.”
Our charitable arm has delivered Premier League Kicks in various locations across the city and county for over a decade, helping to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of hundreds of young people across our region.
They continue to use the power of football to bring people together, promote positive choices and create lasting opportunities for participants.
