A rampant Man City side gave no quarter to Leicester, scoring six on home soil to extend their lead at the summit to 11 points. Khadija Shaw, Vivianne Miedema, Yui Hasegawa, Kerolin and Aoba Fujino all found the net under the lights at Joie Stadium.
There were four changes to the Foxes side that lost out to Manchester United last time, with Julie Thibaud, Olivia McLoughlin, Shannon O'Brien and Noémie Mouchon all coming into the starting XI.
A strong first half from the hosts
Leicester conceded four inside the first half.
For the first 20 minutes, Leicester settled into a five-at-the-back system which was keeping Man City at bay, with the best opening chance coming for the travelling side, when Alisha Lehmann hit the upright from close range.
But after this, the league leaders took control, scoring through Shaw and Miedema. Rick Passmoor's side then had the perfect chance to halve the deficit; Lehmann once again at the heart of it, seeing an effort saved around the half-hour mark. O'Brien could only see her rebound effort strike the crossbar.
Before the Foxes could regroup at the break, Miedema and Hasegawa added a third and fourth, putting the game out of reach after 45 minutes.
League leaders show dominance
The WSL leaders saw out the win in the second half.
The action resumed as it had played out in the first half, with the hosts dominant; taking a five-goal lead when Kerolin scored from the edge of the box on 50 minutes.
Man City's sixth came as a gift from the Leicester defence when Chantelle Swaby was dispossessed just outside our box, allowing substitute Fujino to round Olivia Clark and fire into an empty net.
That completed the scoring for this WSL fixture as Leicester remain bottom of the top flight, with nine points after 15 games, one point behind Liverpool, who we face next.
