“I became a supporter around 2013 after watching the Championship Play-Offs. Those matches led me to dive deep into the rules of English football. That discovery was the spark that made me choose Leicester City as my team.
“Our group is made up of City supporters from various backgrounds. Some are from Leicestershire, while others were introduced to the Club by fellow fans they met while travelling or interning around the world.
“Many discovered Leicester through unforgettable moments like the 5-3 victory over Manchester United, the 3-2 loss to Watford, or, of course, the magical 2016 Premier League title run. These moments helped create a strong fan base in the Philadelphia area.
“We have a diverse mix of fans from across the Delaware Valley area. Some are based in Center City, Manayunk, and surrounding suburbs Bucks and Delaware County. We even have a few members across the river in New Jersey.
“We try to stay as active as possible, though the early morning kick-offs can make it challenging in the Philadelphia area! I typically post about two days before each match to keep everyone in the loop.
“We watch games at a local spot called Urban Saloon, which is known as a welcoming space for all football supporters. The pub has designated areas for different support groups, such as Blackburn and Brighton fans, so everyone has a space to watch their respective matches.
“In the US, Paramount+ gives us access to every match from the Championship to League Two, while NBC covers the Premier League. This means we can enjoy multiple games at once. It’s a fantastic community of people to hang out with and cheer on our teams.
“I was fortunate enough to see Leicester play in the 2024 FA Cup Quarter-Finals against Chelsea while I was in London visiting a friend who was studying at LSE. When I saw the draw and realised I’d be in the city on matchday, I jumped at the opportunity to grab a ticket.
“The game was thrilling, and it turned out to be one of the most exciting matches I’ve ever witnessed. I also had the pleasure of meeting Leicester legend Gerry Taggart during a recent trip to the UK. I toured the stadium and heard some amazing stories from the Martin O'Neill era.”
