Currently recovering in hospital after suffering a stroke in November, Ellen was delighted to welcome Ricardo, who made the visit particularly personal given his own family experience.
Ricardo’s mother suffered a stroke two years ago, giving him first-hand understanding of the challenges Ellen is facing during her rehabilitation.
During the visit, Ricardo spent time with Ellen and her nurses, as well as Barbara and Julie, sharing encouragement and positivity, while reminding her that everyone at Leicester City is behind her.

He also presented Ellen with a selection of LCFC gifts, including a blanket, hot water bottle, dressing gown, signed shirt and a Filbert Fox teddy, bringing a smile to a supporter who has given a lifetime of devotion to our Club.
Ricardo said: “It was special to meet Ellen and spend some time with her. When you hear about someone who has supported Leicester for 73 years and travelled home and away for so long, it reminds you what this Football Club means to people and families.
“Seeing her in recovery brought back personal memories for me because my mum suffered a stroke a couple of years ago. I know how difficult that journey can be, not just for the person going through it but for everyone around them, so because of that I really wanted to offer my support and let Ellen know that she’s not alone in this.

“We’re all wishing her strength and positivity during her recovery, and I hope she knows how much she’s appreciated by our Club.”
Everyone at Leicester City sends their very best wishes to Ellen for a continued and successful recovery.
We look forward to welcoming her back to the stands alongside Barbara and Julie as soon as she is well enough and able to do so.
