The Manager sat down with the media at Belvoir Drive on Friday to discuss our first home game of 2026.
Up against a former side of his, here are the main talking points as we return to league action after last weekend’s loss to Tottenham Hotspur in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.
‘She’s part of our plans’
Alisha Lehmann joined the Club this week from Italian side Como.

Heading into the Hammers fixture, we added a fifth new player to our ranks in the form of former West Ham winger Alisha Lehmann.
Speaking on the reasons to bring her to the Club, Passmoor stated she is not here to make up the numbers, but to challenge for a starting place in our team.
“This young squad has done tremendously well with the challenge in the first half of the season, and the change of the Manager in pre-season,” he told the media.
“We’re making them uncomfortable in training every day, pushing them to new heights so that they can be the best version of them on a daily basis.
“We looked at where we can improve and add value and we have done that, especially with people that have WSL experience.
“Adding to the squad, and attack in particular, because everyone can see we’ve got a good base, but we need to create more opportunities on the pitch.
“Alisha is here to play football. It’s great she wants to come to Leicester City and from the first training session, she’s been good.
“Her aim is to be starting for us, and it creates that competition in the squad. She’s part of our plans, and it’s a squad game. We pick a team that is suitable for each game; she won’t be here to sit in the stands, she’ll want to be playing.”
‘We want to give the fans a great experience’

After enduring consecutive defeats to Tottenham Hotspur on the road, the former West Ham Assistant Manager is looking for a response from his Foxes, against his former employers.
Passmoor added: “In the first game (against Spurs), you saw some good foundations of what Leicester City are about, and we were unlucky to not get anything from the game.
“We then looked to add different layers to how we’d compete in the second week. We implement different formations in our build-up, but we must keep adapting and being more comfortable in possession.
“The game was very close at times, but we need to be making better decisions on the ball, to lead to more openings in attack.
“We want to give the fans a great experience. We’ve got some fantastic players; you look at the transfer window and people throughout the Club will say it’s been one of the busiest windows we’ve had.
“So we need to make sure we put on the best performance we can, whether that’s home or away, because the fanbase is massive for us, they lift the team and we want to give them something back.”
‘They had a great performance’

This weekend’s opponents are four points below us and will be keen to shorten that gap as they search for another season of safety. The east Londoners defeated Newcastle United in the FA Cup last time out, meanwhile.
“They had a great performance, winning 3-0 away at Newcastle, because that could’ve easily been a banana skin, but they were very professional in getting the job done,” Passmoor continued.
“The new manager is settling in, but in the core squad and players, they have some good talent. They may not have scored a lot, but when you look at their front line, it has the quality that we need to be wary of.
“But we’ve got some fantastic supporters, and we want to make sure we get a positive result back home.”
