The 22-year-old played throughout Saturday’s Carabao Cup First Round success at King Power Stadium, as a Caleb Okoli goal secured our passage into round two of the competition. A positive start, attention now turns to our Sky Bet League One opener at Notts County this weekend, with the midfielder aiming to improve further heading, building cohesion in the squad as new signings bed in and Academy graduates break through.
“It was good, we got the win,” he told us after full-time. “I enjoyed it a lot and the fans were good today. Everyone wants to win. When you’re on the pitch, you want to do your best to try and win.
“We made it tough at times, but I’m sure we’ll get better over the next few games. Obviously, we’ve got new players who have been here for a few weeks, they’ve gelled in really well.
“Hopefully when we train together more and play together more, we’ll understand each other better and I’m sure we’ll get better.”
A proud moment for Braybrooke to make his full debut, it’s been almost four years since his first senior appearance for the Foxes, also in the Carabao Cup, though he won’t be resting on his laurels.
“It’s a long time since my debut but happy to finally get a start and hopefully I can build on it,” the former England youth international added.
“I’ve been here since I was a little kid. To finally get that full debut feels really good. I guess that’s what every kid dreams of once you sign here, so to finally get it done is very pleasing.”
