The Blades defeated Millwall 1-0 at The Den on Wednesday before seeing off Plymouth Argyle 2-0 back at Bramall Lane three days later to make it 10 games unbeaten for the table toppers. The Australian centre-back is in line to make his 20th league appearance of the season when Chris Wilder’s men visit Cardiff City this Saturday (3pm kick-off).

There was an away success for Silko Thomas and Wigan Athletic at local rivals Bolton Wanderers on Saturday, winning 2-0 courtesy of a goal in each half at Toughsheet Community Stadium.

The 20-year-old midfielder played 82 minutes, marking his 16th Sky Bet League 1 appearance of the season with a win, before the 16th-placed Latics host Shrewsbury Town next up on Saturday (3pm kick-off).

In Sky Bet League 2, wing-back Brandon Cover came on as a 22nd-minute substitute and helped the Valiants to a goalless draw away at Bromley at the weekend to remain second in the standings. It’s bottom of the table Carlisle United up next for Darren Moore’s men on Saturday (3pm kick-off).
