We’re unbeaten in our last three matches against the Toffees, too, although since David Moyes’ return to Merseyside, things have started to look up at Goodison Park.
Unless we meet in the FA Cup later this term, this will be our last-ever visit to Everton’s 132-year-old home, with a move to their brand-new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium on the horizon.
This is an opportunity to banish an unenviable record before that move, as City have never won back-to-back games at Goodison Park, but after our 2022 success there, we could finally do so this weekend.
Everton might boast the second-best clean sheet record in the league (8) but they also lead the no-goals charts (12). Jamie Vardy, on the other hand, has an eye for goal at the moment. He’s scored seven in 12 against the Toffees and recently became just the fourth player in the Premier League era to score in consecutive appearances while aged 38+. Only Teddy Sheringham, Graham Alexander and Ryan Giggs have also achieved that feat.
In the build-up to this encounter with Everton, here’s some of the key numbers…
Last league encounter
  • Leicester City 1 Everton 1 (21/09/2024)
  • Goalscorers: Mavididi / Ndiaye
  • Premier League
Ahmed Musa's brace was the difference at Goodison Park back in 2016/17.

Played for both - how many can you name?
There’s 21 players we’ve figured out to have appeared both for Everton and City. How many can you name? We’ve dropped the answers at the bottom of this page.
Leading goalscorers
As is often the case, Jamie Vardy has been a regular thorn in Everton’s side over recent years, but he’s still got two goals to go to match our record goalscorer against the Toffees.
Ten of our all-time top goalscorer Arthur Chandler's 273 efforts for City came against the Toffees, while Goodison Park legend Dixie Dean found the net an astonishing 18 times against the Foxes.
Dixie Dean once scored 60 goals in a single season for Everton.
