Returning to domestic action following a rather successful international break, in which Ruby Mace made her senior England debut, Leicester's focus now switches to title chasers Man City who they face this weekend...

Over the week-long break, 12 Foxes went off to represent their countries; one in particular was former Man City midfielder Mace, who started in England 1-0 win over Switzerland at Bramall Lane, becoming the first-ever Leicester City player to feature for the Lionesses.

Elsewhere, Hannah Cain's penalty sent Wales on their way to the 2025 UEFA Women's European Championships and will be joined by Janice Cayman & Sari Kees' Belgium and Jutta Rantala's Finland after their qualifying success.

Leicester head into the fixture on improved form, having beaten Brighton & Hove Albion on penalties at Broadfield Stadium last time out.

Since then, however, Man City have returned to winning ways, beating Hammarby IF in the UEFA Women's Champions League 2-1 thanks to a Bunny Shaw brace.

Amandine Miquel will come up against Gareth Taylor for the first time in her managerial career, with the Welshman currently involved in his fifth season for Man City, in which he has won 114 of his 153 games in charge.

The former AFC Wrexham player last claimed silverware for the Citizens in 2022, when they lifted the Women's League Cup, two years after winning the Women's FA Cup.

In the last 11 meetings between the two sides, Man City have come out on top 10 of those times, most recently taking victory at Joie Stadium in February of this year, when England duo Lauren Hemp and Chloe Kelly decided the scoreline late on.

Around 12 months ago, however, Leicester secured their best result against the WSL heavyweights, triumphing on penalties in the League Cup; Janina Leitzig the hero, saving three of the spot-kicks after Cayman and Sophie Howard's lead was cancelled out in the second half.
