Leicester City host Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday (2pm GMT kick-off)
Ruud van Nistelrooy provided an update on the current fitness of the squad
Odsonne Édouard is back in training while Harry Winks continues to recover
A quick turnaround for both sides, following Brighton’s clash with Fulham on Thursday, the Dutchman was able to confirm a clean bill of health within the Foxes camp that defeated West Ham United in midweek, ahead of Sunday’s bout at King Power Stadium. Forward Odsonne Édouard has also been added to the training group during the week, though the Brighton clash is likely to come too soon for Harry Winks, who has been out since picking up a groin injury against Chelsea last month. “The squad from Tuesday is available today to train,” the 48-year-old said to the media on Friday. Obviously, there’s tomorrow’s (Saturday's) session leading into the game. Odsonne [Édouard] was part of team training today and back on the pitch and that’s an addition to Tuesday’s game.
“Following that, we don’t expect any changes. Harry [Winks] was outside today with the physios, training separately, but is not yet ready for team training.”
