The young Foxes, in fine form of late, winning the last five league matches, tasted defeat for the first time since mid-August at Tottenham Hotspur Training Centre.
Armend Muslika opened the scoring just six minutes in, hammering home inside the area after Leo Stretton had kept out Leon Myrtaj’s effort.
City’s constant search for an equaliser went unrewarded, with a series of blocks from Spurs defender Cameron Thomas keeping out Lorenz Hutchinson, Maxwell Adedeji and Bismark Owusu, followed by several Dylan Thompson saves.
Adedeji was one of those to go close for City, who were unable to find a way through at Spurs.
The hosts, having rode their luck, doubled the advantage in the fourth minute of stoppage-time to make sure of three points at Hotspur Way; substitute Ronny Moncur’s determined run getting the better of the Leicester defence before finding the net.
Remaining second in the current league standings, behind leaders Crystal Palace on goal difference with a game in hand on the Eagles, the top two face off at Crystal Palace Training Ground on Saturday (11am GMT kick-off).
