The Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Foundation made a donation to local Leicestershire schools
They received footballs, blue LCFC bibs and football bags
Ravenhurst Primary School Deputy Head Teacher, Kim Peet, spoke about the donation
Giving back to the community has been at the forefront of the VS Foundation, and to continue celebrating that legacy of generosity in honour of our late Chairman, school packs were donated across the city on what would have been his 67th birthday.
The 67 local schools, one of which was Ravenhurst Primary School in Braunstone Town, received 30 footballs, 30 blue LCFC-branded bibs and two LCFC football bags each.
The VS Foundation donated footballs, bibs and bags to local schools.
They were presented to the year five students at the school, alongside some of the school’s sports ambassadors, with Filbert Fox making an appearance to surprise the children as well.
On our visit, we spoke to Deputy Head Teacher, Kim Peet, who thanked the Foundation for the invaluable donation, and the meaning it has to the students.
“It means a lot to the school and it means a lot to the children to get a lot more physical activity during lunch times,” she explained. “Our sport ambassadors will be able to utilise them effectively as well to make sure they remain as active as they can be.
The students had the opportunity to meet Filbert Fox.
“One of our main drivers at our school is mental wellbeing and we spend a lot of time with our children learning about how they can improve that, and one of the key factors is exercise, which is massive for keeping them active.”
