Ex-City centre-back Jonny Evans retires from football
The defender won the FA Cup with the Foxes in 2021
He played over 150 times for the Club across a five-year spell
The centre-back joined us from West Bromwich Albion in the summer of 2018, going on to play 152 times in Leicester blue, scoring seven times and starting the 2021 Emirates FA Cup Final, which saw City win the historic competition for the very first time.
Earning his 100th international cap for Northern Ireland while at King Power Stadium, Evans captained the side during the 2022/23 season before returning to Manchester United in 2023, where he won the FA Cup once more a year later and saw out the remainder of his playing career.
We wish Jonny all the best for the future.
