The smiles from the away end at Chigwell Construction Stadium came late on last weekend, with Shannon O’Brien’s 97th-minute goal salvaging a point for the Foxes.
In terms of the stats across the 90, the Manager was happy with the outcome of the game but wants the team to remember the principles they’ve worked hard to set in place.
“We’ve just got to be confident and comfortable with who we are, especially in possession,” Passmoor explained post-match. “You don’t have to always have defence splitting passes or immediately create an opportunity.
The Foxes left it late in London.
The Foxes left it late in London.
“We need to ask, ‘can we do more with the ball and be more composed?’, but what I’ve got to say is, we’ve looked at the bench, we changed momentum later on, we penned them in, and we got that opportunity at the end.
“We got the ball across the box and followed up at the back post. I just want us to go back to who we are and remember our principles of play.
“We deserve to be in the big league, every game is going to be tough, but I’m pleased to get a point, and we continue to develop.”
Analysing the game, the former West Ham Assistant Manager was delighted with the start and finish, but admitted there has to be more conviction in the Foxes’ play during the larger parts of the game.
“We started really well, and it was one of our better first halves, where we controlled a lot of the ball, but the momentum did change,” Passmoor continued.
The draw takes us up to ninth in the table.

“These lot are a very good team, and they’ve got good players, but we retained it, went one goal down and came back again.
“I think, with those substitutions, we changed the momentum inside the last 15 minutes, so I was pleased with the start and with the finish, it’s just about how we control it in the middle.”
In three of our last four WSL games, the goalscorer has been a substitute, this time in the form of O’Brien, who scored her 14th goal in Leicester colours.
“Everything coming from the bench tells you about our culture and how they come in and want to represent,” Passmoor added. “They made a difference and took the opportunities, so it just amplifies we’re a group that is ready to battle.
“We just want to make sure the starting XI is well drilled, so there’s work to do, but it was a hard game coming down here and getting a point is pleasing. We must get back to the training ground to keep developing.”
