Harry Winks is a doubt for the clash with Thomas Frank's Bees

Dawson is overseeing First Team matters, supported by coaches Danny Alcock and Andy Hughes, following the departure of Manager Steve Cooper on Sunday.

Winks, who was substituted early in last weekend’s 2-1 reverse to Chelsea, is likely to miss the visit to Gtech Community Stadium, Dawson confirmed on Friday.

“Harry’s the only one really,” he said, discussing injury issues. “He’s recovering well. Tomorrow will probably come too early for him but hopefully he’ll join the group soon.”

Speaking more generally on his remit, Dawson added: “My immediate focus is on the game tomorrow. What happens beyond that, who knows. The staff will continue to work hard to give the best for the Football Club for however long that is.

“We just have to focus on making sure the players are in the best position to give a good account of themselves and put in a performance for the fans.”
