The Denmark centre-back, returning to the Foxes XI in Wales, pounced in the box with moments to spare after Lewis O’Brien had put the Red Devils in front on 63 minutes.
Now with 38 points from 28 matches, sitting 14th in the Sky Bet Championship, Martí Cifuentes' City next entertain Oxford United at King Power Stadium on Saturday, with Charlton Athletic the visitors a week later.
A quiet first half

There were limited openings for both sides in the first half, during which each outfit had to battle against harsh winds and relentless rainfall swirling in from the terrace-less end at SToK Cae Ras.
Matty James, the former Fox who recently signed a new deal at Wrexham, drove a 20-yard hit straight at Jakub Stolarczyk midway through the half, while O’Brien also skidded another effort wide for the hosts.
Jordan Ayew’s shot flew wide later on too, after good work from Oliver Skipp to disposess Oliver Rathbone on the cusp of the penalty area. Bobby De Cordova-Reid, on the other hand, tested Arthur Okonkwo from close range, while Stolarczyk was equally up to the challenge posed by Max Cleworth at the other end.

Into the second half, with City now without Jordan James, who had to be withdrawn with an injury, Wrexham began to pursue the opener. After back-to-back-to-back promotions from non-league all the way to the second tier, Phil Parkinson’s men have grown accustomed to this time of the year being a profitable one over recent seasons.
Our first competitive visit to Wrexham since 1982 was turning into a testing one for the 1,284 members of the Blue Army who’d crossed the border to follow their team, not least because of the elements.
Ryan Longman then went close early into the second period, arrowing narrowly over the bar, while Oliver Rathbone’s later shot was saved well by Stolarczyk. Ben Sheaf was lurking to get on the end of the rebound, although Ben Nelson bravely blocked his follow-up.
A point apiece

After Stephy Mavididi, from a tight angle, had put Okonkwo to work for Leicester, Parkinson’s upwardly-mobile hosts continued to press. Kieffer Moore chested a high ball down and volleyed at goal, although it bounced wide. The Wales striker was there again just after the hour mark, curling an ambitious hit the wrong side of our post.
When Stolarczyk saved Moore’s third effort in quick succession, it bounced out for O’Brien, though, to apply the finish and put Wrexham in front.
City had to battle back for a point and, just as the clock hit 90 minutes and the game seemed beyond them, up stepped Vestergaard to poke it in from close range and rescue a draw. Stolarczyk was relieved to see Moore’s added-time header fizz wide in the dying seconds too, as we take a point back to the East Midlands.
