Young City supporter enjoys personal tour of Seagrave from Martí Cifuentes

After unsuccessfully trying out for his school football team last year, Jack, who has been living with his illness since the age of six, wrote a letter to the Foxes squad, explaining his love of the game.
Having received a video message reply, Jack was also invited to spend some time at his favourite club’s training base.
A big City fan, Jack was greeted by Martí Cifuentes in Seagrave, who presented him with an LCFC home shirt with his name on the back, which was later personally signed by all of the players.
“It’s nice just to watch him enjoy it,” his Mum told us during their visit. “I think he’s a little overwhelmed, because it was a big shock for him to come here. But it’s such a wonderful experience and something he can take away with him and remember for a long time.”
Given a behind-the-scenes tour of the training ground by Cifuentes himself, including the Manager’s office, media facilities, gym areas, boot room and of course the pitches themselves, Jack was soon able to meet the squad, having photos taken together before watching on from close quarters as they trained, creating special memories to cherish.
She added: “Jack worries about the challenges that he faces and seeing them train and talk about their injuries and where they started out, I think it’s a real eye opener. It was a real confidence boost for Jack not to give up. That’s often discussed now, he’s really taken that away with him. Anything is possible.”
