Already qualified for UEFA EURO 2024, it didn’t take long for Belgium to begin the goalscoring in Brussels, with Faes starting the match and playing 90 minutes for the Red Devils.
Romelu Lukaku scored that opening goal and, after the visitors had been reduced to 10 players following Eddy Israfilov’s second yellow card, the striker would add three more to his tally before the interval.
The third of which was assisted by the Foxes defender, who delivered a superb cross from the right for Lukaku to head home.
Belgium came through the second half adding just one further goal, Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard netting the fifth late on in the 5-0 win.
Earlier on Sunday, Iheanacho began Nigeria’s 1-1 FIFA World Cup African Qualifier draw with Zimbabwe as a substitute in Butare, the Super Eagles looking to build on their point gained against Lesotho last time out.
However, Nigeria found themselves a goal down at the break with Walter Musona giving Zimbabwe the lead.
Iheanacho was introduced to start the second half and was on hand to level in the fixture, scoring with a well-taken left-footed strike after 67 minutes.
The match ending in a draw, Nigeria now have two points from two games to start their qualification campaign.
