Ward's Wales Draw In Armenia
- Danny Ward plays for Wales in their 1-1 draw away to Armenia
- The Foxes 'keeper wins his 37th international cap in Yerevan
- Wales are now relying on other results in UEFA EURO qualification
Wales came into their penultimate qualifier knowing that wins against Armenia and Turkey would seal their place at next summer's EURO 2024 in Germany, with Ward named in the XI to start in Yerevan.
However, it was the hosts who struck early, Lucas Zelarayan opening the scoring after only five minutes.
Robert Page's side responded and were level moments before the interval when Connor Roberts' throw-in was put into his own net by Nair Tiknizyan.
Knowing that they needed to win to maintain control of their destiny in Group D, Wales pushed for a lead late in the game, Jordan James' saved shot the closest they would come.
At the other end, Vahan Bichakchyan hit the crossbar, while Ward was needed to retain a point for the visitors with a stoppage-time save from Edgar Sevikyan.
The draw means Wales will now await Croatia's result away in Latvia later on Saturday, hoping the Croatians drop points and allow them to retain control of qualification before their match with Turkey in Cardiff on Tuesday.
On Sunday, Kelechi Iheanacho and Wout Faes could be in action for their countries, with further details of the Foxes squad members in international action during the ongoing break available HERE.
