In the 31st minute, the 22-year-old, who netted Leicester City’s winner at Cardiff City earlier this month, beat Danish stopper Daniel Iversen – another Foxes representative who is currently on loan at Oldham Athletic.
Having helped his nation to a 2-1 win in Italy on Thursday, Gray played 71 minutes in the Blue Water Arena as the Young Lions completed their final game of 2018 in style, their 22nd successive fixture without defeat.
Meanwhile, City midfielder Andy King made his 50th appearance for Wales in a 1-0 friendly defeat by Albania.
Danny Ward also started in goal for Wales, while youngster George Thomas, who is spending the 2018/19 season on loan at Scunthorpe United, was an unused substitute in Elbasan.
Defender Çağlar Söyüncü, on the other hand, played 90 minutes and kept a clean sheet in Turkey’s goalless friendly draw with Ukraine at New Antalya Stadium.
Elsewhere, Kelechi Iheanacho came off the bench in the 88th minute as Nigeria also drew 0-0 with Uganda in a home friendly.
Forward Bartosz Kapustka, on loan at Belgian side Oud-Heverlee Leuven, played 90 minutes as Poland Under-21s beat Portugal 3-1 (3-2 on aggregate) in their UEFA U21 European Championship qualifying play-off second leg.
Finally, Alex Pascanu – the recipient of a maiden senior Romania call-up last week – was an unused substitute as his country beat Montenegro 1-0 in their final UEFA Nations League Group C4 game.
Tuesday’s fixtures marked the final day of international action for the Club’s stars, who will now return to Leicester – or their adopted loan clubs – to continue their domestic campaigns.
Claude Puel’s first team head to AMEX Stadium to face Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday (3pm GMT kick-off), while the Club’s Development Squad host Manchester City at Holmes Park on Friday (7pm GMT kick-off).
