Following three straight victories, scoring 14 goals in that time, including a 6-3 victory over Newcastle United last time out, the young Foxes welcomed the Rams to Seagrave full of confidence and, despite three changes to the side, produced in another impressive performance.
After a goalless first half, it didn't take long for City to break the deadlock following the interval. Half-time substitute Tommy Neale, on for Michael Golding, set up Briggs for the opener.

And the duo combined again to double the advantage with a quarter of an hour to play, Neale again providing the assist for Briggs to put us in a commanding position in the closing stages.
It looked as though a clean sheet was in the bag, too, but for a stoppage-time consolation from Darren Robinson, the only blot on the copybook as our Under-21s claimed another three points in Premier League 2.
Rising further up the table and into the top 10, on 24 points from 16 games, the next PL2 fixture, meanwhile, comes against Tottenham Hotspur next Monday, back at LCFC Training Ground.

Before then, however, attention turns back to the Premier League Cup on Friday, facing Queens Park Rangers at SkyEx Community Stadium in the last-16 (both 7pm kick-offs).
