The Foxes travel north to visit Academy Stadium on Sunday (2pm kick-off) in their third Barclays Women’s Super League fixture, with both sides searching for their maiden points of the new campaign.
Leicester were without a number of players in defeats to Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Everton, including long-term absentees Hannah Cain and Lachante Paul, as well as Georgia Brougham, Abbie McManus and Demi Lambourne.
However, the manager revealed some positive news on the injury front in her pre-match press conference on Friday, with the latter two players potentially back for the meeting with the Citizens.
Bedford told the media: “There’s no new injuries updates for us, it’ll actually be similar to the last few games, so we’re in a good place.
“Demi Lambourne is definitely very close and potentially will be involved in the squad at the weekend. There’s still a bit of a late decision to be made there.
“We’re hoping to see Abbie McManus return to the squad at the weekend as well, so there’s a few players that will hopefully creep into the squad at the last moment.”
