- LCFC Women will face Everton in the Barclays Women's Super League this Sunday- Manager Willie Kirk gave reporters an update on the condition of the squad on Friday- City are set to welcome Carrie Jones and Georgia Eaton Collins back into the squad- Demi Lambourne also returns, but CJ Bott and Ava Baker are unavailable for selection
Prior to Sunday's match at King Power Stadium (3pm GMT kick-off), the manager provided a fresh fitness update on his squad for the game, which will include on-loan winger Carrie Jones. "We've got Carrie Jones who is available after not being able to play against her parent club Manchester United last weekend," Kirk explained to the media in Friday afternoon's pre-match press conference. "She's been involved and playing well in training so it'll be good to have her included in the matchday squad."
Elsewhere, the team will be boosted by welcoming back defender Eaton-Collins and goalkeeper Demi Lambourne who both missed the defeat to Man Utd, but there will be no Ava Baker. The youngster is away with the Young Lionesses, while New Zealander CJ Bott remains out after picking up a slight injury on recent international duty. Kirk continued: "Georgia Eaton-Collins and Demi Lambourne also return to the squad after suffering from illness last weekend so it'll look a stronger and more well-rounded squad this weekend, which is nice to see.
"CJ Bott remains sidelined with a slight injury knock, but we hope that isn't something that'll be long term, and the only other absence will be Ava Baker who is currently with the England Under-17s squad, so we wish her the best of luck there and look forward to her return."
