LCFC Radio commentator Gerry Taggart felt Leicester City created enough goalscoring opportunities to beat Derby County on Friday evening.
An 87th-minute header from Wes Morgan saw Claudio Ranieri’s men come from behind to  in the Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round.
Despite forcing a replay at King Power Stadium on Wednsday 8 February, City could have put the tie to bed on the night, but came up against an in-form Scott Carson, who made some fine saves to thwart Demarai Gray, Shinji Okazaki and Jamie Vardy.
Assessing City’s performance at the full-time whistle, Taggart said on : “There was that period in the first half where they went 2-1 down by conceding two sloppy goals, but then they came out in the second half and absolutely dominated.
“You can give Leicester credit for getting themselves back in the game, but then they nearly threw it away – you have to thank Kasper Schmeichel for a really good save. The ball was moving in the air and it was a slippery surface, but he managed to judge it perfectly and gather the ball.
“When goalscoring chances come your way, you’re expecting to at least put one of them away. But Leicester got what they deserved, which was the goal. Could they have gone on to win it and would it have been deserved? Yes it would.
“In the second half, they were very good and controlled the game for large periods. They deserved at least a draw, if not the win.”
Taggart highlighted the performance of England Under-21s international Demarai Gray, who caused havoc on the wing after being introduced at the start of the second half.
He added: “Demarai Gray was another shining light for Leicester City. I thought he did brilliantly and tonight he showed us what he is capable of.
“The most important thing about a corner is the delivery and Gray’s corner for Morgan’s goal was top class, so credit to him.”
