Carlos Queiroz's men battled to a hard-earned point against Thomas Tuchel's Three Lions at Boston Stadium in Foxborough to take their tally to four from the opening two matches at the tournament, after seeing off Panama on matchday one.

Elsewhere, on Wednesday evening, Bilal El Khannouss played throughout Morocco's 4-2 victory over Haiti which secured the Atlas Lions' progression into the knockout stages as runners up in Group C.

Finishing level on points with Brazil, only goal difference kept Mohamed Ouahbi's side off top spot, with a last-32 tie against the winners of Group F to come at Monterrey Stadium in Mexico on Tuesday 30 June (2am BST kick-off).
