Leicester City to begin the 2026/27 Sky Bet League One season away to Notts County
Fixture set to take place on Saturday 15 August at Meadow Lane (12:30pm kick-off)
We will face AFC Wimbledon and Wycombe Wanderers on Boxing Day and New Year's Day, respectively
Season set to conclude with a home game against Cambridge United

Following our league opener against The Magpies, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports, we will then host Burton Albion on Saturday 22 August before an away trip to face MK Dons on Saturday 29 August.

The festive period will see us host AFC Wimbledon on Boxing Day, before a midweek fixture against Leyton Orient at Brisbane Road on Tuesday 29 December. We then begin 2027 with a New Year's Day meeting with Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park.

Our final run-in will see us take on Blackpool and Mansfield Town at King Power Stadium and the One Call Stadium, respectively, before concluding the regular season against Cambridge United on Filbert Way.

Broadcast selections for the opening match round in Sky Bet League One have already been made. All League One games will be broadcast live on Sky Sports over that weekend, while the EFL have also confirmed the broadcast selection windows for the 2026/27 season. Key dates are as follows:

By Thursday 2 July, 2026: Broadcast selections for August and September fixtures will be confirmed.
By Friday 31 July, 2026: Broadcast selections will be confirmed up to and including 8–11 January 2027.
By Friday 6 November, 2026: Broadcast selections will be confirmed up to and including 2–3 March 2027.
By Friday 5 February, 2027: Broadcast selections will be confirmed for fixtures scheduled across 5–8 March 2027.

From that point, broadcast selections will be made weekly, looking four weeks ahead, while selections for the penultimate weekend of the regular season will be selected three weeks in advance and the final weekend will be during the preceding week.

CARABAO CUP ROUND ONE

The new season will see us enter the Carabao Cup at the First Round stage, where we have been included in the southern section of the draw, set for 4:30pm on Thursday 25 June. That match will be our first competitive outing of the 2026/27 season, with First Round fixtures scheduled to take place before the start of the Sky Bet League One campaign.

EFL TROPHY GROUP STAGE

We will also enter the EFL Trophy in 2026/27 and have been placed in Southern Group B alongside Walsall and Stevenage for the Group Stage of the competition. A further draw will also see one Premier League Under-21s side placed into our group. That takes place at 2:30pm on Thursday 25 June.
