Signing on from Shamrock Rovers, the young Irish ‘keeper brings experience at both a club and international level but hopes this new chapter in the East Midlands will be the biggest moment in her career.

An individual full of potential and ready to bring a positive energy around the team, Keane’s excitement to become a Fox was evident to see in her first interview with us.

Our latest recruit joins from Shamrock Rovers.

“It’s incredible,” the goalkeeper stated after signing her contract. “I can’t wait to get started and see the fans and to push through the game and help to boost women’s football.

“I would say that playing for Ireland in the Under-19s Euros and keeping a clean sheet against Spain, who ended up winning it, would be my proudest moment of my career so far.”

Ready to get going with the Foxes.

Admitting that her friends describe her as a little crazy, the 19-year-old outlined her key attributes on the field and how that can help us in our fifth consecutive Barclays Women’s Super League campaign.

“Shot stopping and communication would be two of my strongest attributes,” Keane continued. “It’s always important when you’re there for your team-mates and encouraging them.”
