All away tickets for our Premier League visit to Brighton to be digital
Trial follows LCFC supporter consultation in November and January
Digital tickets will be a Premier League requirement in 2026/27
Trial will test and improve processes ahead of future digital rollouts
This decision follows consultation with both our Fans’ Consultative Committee Working Groups (FCCWG) and our Fan Advisory Board (FAB) and is our latest step towards being ready for the upcoming enforcement of new Premier League regulation.
From the 2026/27 season onwards, all Premier League clubs will be required to ensure at least 70 percent of home tickets are issued as digital tickets. In addition, clubs will also have to ensure that all away tickets are, by default, made available to visiting teams as Digital Tickets. Our away trip to Brighton has therefore been selected as an opportunity to trial a full away allocation of digital tickets, assess the impact of the change and gather feedback from supporters that can support the future rollout of digital tickets.
Why Are We Doing This?
Premier League Requirements: The decision to choose a game for a pilot aligns with upcoming Premier League regulation to ensure tickets (including away tickets) are issued in a digital format in coming seasons.
Preparation for the Future: By running a trial this season, we can identify areas for improvement ahead of broader digital adoption in the next two campaigns.
Feedback and Consultation: During meetings of the FCCWG in November and the FAB in January, supporters expressed a preference for modern stadiums to host digital ticket trials for our away fans. Brighton’s Amex Stadium provides an ideal environment to test our processes with travelling fans. Feedback from the trial will continue to be gathered through our Fan Engagement Framework.
How Will It Work?
Digital-Only Tickets: Supporters who secure seats will receive a Digital Ticket link via email, sent to each ticket owner, in advance of the fixture (sent from Friday 4 April). Each ticket can be scanned from a mobile device on matchday.
Key Dates: The Members’ Ballot opened on Wednesday 26 February, and subsequent sales windows will run from Monday 3 March onwards.
On-the-Day Support: Brighton & Hove Albion’s ticket office will assist supporters who cannot download or access their ticket, while our own staff will also be present near the away turnstiles to help resolve any issues.
Reassurance for Travelling Supporters
We recognise some fans may be concerned about going fully digital. By conducting this trial, we can gather vital feedback and fine-tune our approach in real-world conditions. Our aim is to minimise disruption and make future Digital Ticketing as seamless as possible for everyone.
Further Information
Detailed ticket pricing, ballot times and priority criteria remain unchanged – these can be found here. Supporters are also invited to review the FCCWG and FAB meeting minutes for more information on what our fans told us about the transition to digital tickets. We remain committed to providing a smooth and positive matchday experience. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to hearing your feedback, which will help shape our approach to Digital Ticketing for seasons ahead.
