Fans invited to participate in a comprehensive consultation process, including surveys, focus groups, and prototype viewings.
Prototypes installed for in-person viewings w/c 9 December
Matchday information point for Brighton and Wolves fixtures
A priority topic since the Club launched its new framework of fan engagement at the start of this season, safe standing implementation has already been the subject of in-depth discussion with the Club’s Fan Advisory Board (FAB) and its FCC Working Groups in recent weeks. During December, the Club will give all match-attending fans the opportunity to have their say – feedback that will help inform the FAB on wider supporter sentiment and help shape potential plans for implementation.
The December consultation includes a survey being issued to all Season Ticket Holders and Members, a matchday information point, Your 90 Minute focus groups and the installation of a small number of rail seating prototypes for viewing appointments. Supporters whose current seats are affected by the prototype installations have been contacted directly by phone and email.
COMPLETE THE SURVEY
The Club’s Safe Standing Survey is now open to Season Ticket Holders and Members aged 16 and over and can be accessed HERE. Season Ticket Holder or Member status will be confirmed by Supporter Number. One survey completion will be accepted per Supporter Number. Leicester City Chief Executive Susan Whelan said: “Our plans to explore the introduction of safe standing are moving at speed to ensure we have the operational flexibility to make an informed decision ahead of the 2025/26 season. Supporter input across the consultation period is among a number of factors that will come into consideration when determining our future plans, together with safety and regulatory compliance, stadium atmosphere, fan experience and future scalability. It’s important, therefore, that we offer a range of options for supporter contributions, and we look forward to hearing our fans’ views in the coming weeks.”
Supporter representatives of the Leicester City Fan Advisory Board said: “Many Leicester City fans have been pressing for safe standing for some time, including providing independent proposals and survey data to support its introduction. We’re really pleased the Club has been working at pace to be in a place to consider implementing this for next season. We want to encourage all fans - whether for or against safe standing - to have their say through the consultation process. This will provide the Club and Fan Advisory Board members with the depth of information and breadth of views needed to ensure the right solution is implemented, in the right place, in the right quantity and in a way which will work for us all.”
