A 2-1 victory over Doncaster Rovers, secured through goals from John Lundstram and Kamari Doyle, has provided a welcome boost after a tough run of form, lifting us up to 14th in the early third-tier standings. It’s a quick turnaround for the Foxes, who travel to Bromley this Tuesday evening (7:45pm kick-off) before heading to Luton Town on Saturday (12:30pm kick-off), with Doyle keen for us not to rest on our laurels after putting three points on the board.

“It’s a very big win, much needed,” he commented following full-time at King Power Stadium. “We are united in the dressing room. After the game, all the boys are buzzing.
“That’s not it, we’ve got to keep going, go onto the next game and show the fight we showed today in the next game.
“Obviously this was my first league start, which was amazing to start here. Obviously I had a couple of starts in the EFL Trophy and came on in a couple of league games, so hopefully I’m really finding my feet now and the team can kick on and get some good results.”
A first goal in Leicester colours, the on-loan Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder followed up Lundstram’s stunning volley with an equally impressive strike of his own, curling one in from the left to double our advantage – a goal which would prove crucial due to the visitors' late breakthrough.
“I was buzzing after he (Lundstram) scored because we had pressure on in the first half, especially towards the end, and we needed that goal,” the 20-year-old assessed. “It was a hell of a finish, to be fair.
“Obviously, I saw Luke [Thomas] with the ball on the left, saw the pocket and I just dropped out, got it and had one thing on my mind, that I knew I was in a position where I could whip it to the far post.
“I actually ended up stretching a bit, but it worked out alright and the celebration – I saw Lunny’s knee slide and I thought I’d do that and it didn’t quite work out! I’m buzzing with the goal, though.
“In training, we do a lot of finishing drills in and around those areas. The more you can do it in training, the more you know you can do it in a game. It’s just about practicing as much as possible and luckily it worked out today.”
