Krefeld Fire Service visit LCFC Training Ground in Seagrave
Trip part of long-standing twinning relationship with Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service
The group watched our Under-18s game against Arsenal on Saturday
The two fire services have shared close ties for over 50 years through a special exchange programme, with visits taking place on a three-year cycle and a strong bond forming between the two groups.
The visits are self-funded by the firefighters and reflect the friendship and cooperation built over decades.
This year’s trip saw the German group visit our Men’s training base in Seagrave, where they were given a tour before taking in a game featuring our Under-18s against Arsenal.
Many of the Krefeld visitors are passionate City fans, and football remains a key part of their trips across Europe, with fixtures often forming the backdrop to their travel plans.
We thank both fire services for their dedication and for continuing to nurture such a meaningful connection between Leicester and Krefeld.
