LCFC Women’s first defeat of the campaign came at the hands of Ipswich, who took all three points last weekend after a first half goal from Bethan Roe.

Disappointed our winning streak came to an end on home turf, he admitted it is a learning curve for the Foxes, who he hopes will bounce back quickly with a double match week in the offing.

“Everybody is a little bit deflated,” Passmoor stated. “Because what we knew what was needed from today in terms of our style of play, both in and out of possession, so, there’s frustration in the group.

The Foxes lost out to Ipswich at the weekend.

“We played, at times, really well and were positive in possession, but the two things are, don’t turn off for their goal early in the first half, and then we need to make sure we move the ball a bit quicker with purpose.

“The result didn’t go for us, but I’m looking at how we bounce back, because we want to retain our principles and culture. Nothing is defined by September in this league, it’s about where you are in April and May.”

Three games into the Barclays WSL2 season, we now look to our first in the Players Cup, when we welcome top tier side London City to Meadow Lane in Nottingham for a 7:30pm BST kick-off this Wednesday.

City now face two games this week.

Hinting at possible changes within the squad, he remains confident of turning things around before a long journey to face Newcastle United at the weekend, when we return to league duties.

“There is potential for squad rotation come the Wednesday night game, so players can recover or play minutes if needed,” Passmoor continued.

“We’ll then be in a good frame [of mind] to be ready to go again at the weekend, when we make the trip to Newcastle.”
