Conor Hourihane appointed Assistant Manager to Russell Martin
Rhys Owen joins First Team staff as Fitness Coach
First Team Coaches Adam Sadler and Andy Hughes to depart

Hourihane joins us as Assistant Manager, working alongside First Team Manager Russell Martin going into the new 2026/27 Sky Bet League One season.

A former Republic of Ireland international, Hourihane brings extensive experience from across the English game for clubs including Sunderland, Ipswich Town, Aston Villa, Swansea City, Sheffield United, Derby County and Barnsley – where he had spells as a player and manager.

Owen has been appointed as Fitness Coach supporting the preparation of the First Team squad. He brings significant experience in physical performance and conditioning and has previously worked alongside Russell for Norwich City, Swansea City, Southampton and Rangers.

Meanwhile, Adam Sadler’s second spell as part of First Team coaching staff will conclude at the end of his contract this summer. Adam, who has previously worked with our First Team over a nine-year spell between 2014 and 2023 agreed a short-term contract last season to support the Club until the end of the 2025/26 campaign.

Also departing is First Team Set Piece Coach Andy Hughes, who joined us in the summer of 2024 from Norwich City.

We welcome all new staff to Leicester City and offer our thanks and best wishes to Adam and Andy for their hard work and efforts as they depart for the next chapter in their respective careers.
