New Manager Russell Martin met up with his players following the 40-year-old's appointment earlier this month, with the likes of Hamza Choudhury, Oliver Skipp, Stephy Mavididi and Bobby De Cordova-Reid all back in for the first day of pre-season in Seagrave.
There was time to catch up over breakfast prior to a squad meeting, with the morning also packed with gym work including wattbike testing and technical strength testing, all under the watchful eye of the strength and conditioning and medical teams, as well as the Manager.
Bringing a competitive edge to the morning, the lads looked determined to beat each other - and last year's scores, aiming to get in the best possible shape for our upcoming Sky Bet League One campaign.
After lunch, meanwhile, more gym activations followed, before warming up to head out on the training pitch for a series of football-based drills, getting used to having a ball back at the feet.
A first chance for Martin to see his team in action on the pristine Seagrave surface, the Manager delivered a pre-training speech to the group, which preceded some running-based activities.
The work continues from Tuesday morning, with a busy two weeks to come building up to facing Northampton Town in our first pre-season friendly on Saturday 11 July, a 12pm BST kick-off at LCFC Training Ground.
Further in the distance, the first league fixture of 26/27 is just over a month-and-a-half away and will see us make the short trip to take on Notts County on Saturday 15 August.
