  • Leicester City host Blackburn Rovers at King Power Stadium on Saturday (12:30pm GMT kick-off)
  • Aaron Ramsey will miss that game and ‘some weeks’ with a hamstring injury
  • Stephy Mavididi and Bobby De Cordova-Reid could be involved this weekend
  • Harry Souttar is continuing rehabilitation in Seagrave from an Achilles injury
  • Jeremy Monga has had a sickness bug and will be assessed, while Louis Page and Jake Evans are away on international duty
Ramsey, on loan from Burnley, was forced to withdraw in the second half during last weekend’s 1-0 loss at Millwall and is now set for a period on the sidelines.
Mavididi, meanwhile, emerged from the bench at The Den after a short hamstring issue, while De Cordova-Reid (also hamstring) has been out since the 1-1 home draw with Portsmouth on 18 October.
Elsewhere, Jeremy Monga has been recovering from sickness in the week and will be assessed before a decision is taken on the matchday squad for the clash with Valérien Ismaël’s Rovers.
Stephy Mavididi
Firstly on Ramsey, Manager Martí Cifuentes said: “It’s bad news. He’s got a hamstring injury. He will be some weeks off. It’s a significant injury. We’ll see.
“[Mavididi has] been training well. Over the last 10 days, he’s been training with the group. It’s been a good training week for the whole group. He's been looking good.
“We’ll take a decision [before the game] but he’s definitely ready.
“Bobby is well, coming back after this small muscular injury. He’s training well [and] with the group today and yesterday. Probably, he will be ready for the game.
“Jeremy has been sick. Today was his first practice. We’ll take the final decision today with the medical [team].”
Bobby De Cordova-Reid
Harry Souttar, who spent a portion of last season on loan at Sheffield United, has also been out for all of 25/26 so far, but is progressing well towards his return from an Achilles complaint.
“Obviously it is a long process with a big injury,” the Manager explained.
“He’s still working by the side of the group so to say. In the last month, four or five weeks, he’s on the pitch, feeling better. He’s getting close to that stage where hopefully he’ll start to join the group.”
Louis Page and Jake Evans, on the other hand, have been selected for England’s FIFA U17 World Cup campaign and have travelled with the Young Lions to Qatar.
“They have already travelled with the team,” Cifuentes added. “It’s very good news for them and for the Club to have such promising young players playing in the World Cup.
“I’m very glad for them. I’m sure it’s a great experience for them. Hopefully they have a good level and good minutes and I’m sure, in the long term, it’s going to be very good for us.”
