Remembrance fixture to take place on Tuesday 4 November (7:45pm kick-off)
Poppy shirts to be worn by both Men’s and Women’s teams
LCFC Women to mark Remembrance during game with Arsenal at King Power Stadium on Sunday 2 November
Veterans’ Coffee Morning, Fan Zone activity, stadium displays and matchday tributes to honour service and sacrifice
Demonstrating our support for the national Royal British Legion (RBL) 2025 Poppy Appeal, our teams will come together across a week of activity - including on-pitch tributes at upcoming matches, external and internal stadium displays and a Veterans’ Coffee Morning - to honour both those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and to recognise the service of Armed Forces personnel past and present.
For our Men’s team, the period includes our annual Remembrance fixture - which this year will be staged at the home game against Middlesbrough (Tuesday 4 November) - and the away fixture at Norwich City (Saturday 8 November).
For LCFC Women, the period began with the home match against Arsenal (Sunday 2 November) and will include the away game at West Ham United (Sunday 9 November).
All match shirts worn by players across these fixtures will feature the Poppy emblem and will be auctioned after the games to raise important funds, continuing our long-standing commitment to supporting the Poppy Appeal. We were the first football club to wear poppies on our shirts in 2003 - a tribute that has since become a tradition across English football.
Club Ambassador Alan Birchenall said: “Remembrance at Leicester City has always been about more than just one match. It’s about the whole Club, our supporters and our community coming together to honour those who served and those who continue to serve.
“The sight of the stadium united in silence, with supporters holding up the poppy display, is one of the most powerful moments of the season - and something I know means a great deal to everyone connected with our Football Club.”
Veterans’ Coffee Morning
The programme begins on Monday 3 November (10:30am - 12:10pm) with a Veterans’ Coffee Morning at King Power Stadium.
Open to all current and former service personnel, plus a guest, the free event will feature presentations from local and national veteran support organisations such as SSAFA, NHS Op Courage and the Royal British Legion.
The morning will provide a welcoming space for conversation, connection and signposting to wellbeing support. Registration will be required via this online link. Matchday Tributes
At King Power Stadium the following evening (Tuesday 4 November), supporters will be invited to take part in a series of tributes before and during the Middlesbrough match:
Tifo Display - A full-stadium poppy display will once again form a powerful visual tribute under the floodlights as supporters raise cards during the Last Post.
Last Post & Silence - A two-minute silence will be observed during the sounding of the Last Post before kick-off, with both managers, Club Ambassador Alan Birchenall and invited dignitaries laying wreaths.
Centre Circle Banner & Poppy Wreaths - The pitch will feature a centre-circle poppy banner and wreath-laying ceremony as part of the formal acts of remembrance.
Half-Time Parade - Representatives from the Royal British Legion and local veterans will take part in a half-time parade along the East Stand.
Medals On Matchday - Serving personnel and veterans are encouraged to wear their medals with pride inside the stadium, creating a visible symbol of service and sacrifice.
Fan Zone Activity
Supporters arriving early can enjoy a series of military-themed activations within the Fan Zone, featuring interactive displays and stands from across the Armed Forces.
The Royal Anglian Regiment, and Royal British Legion will be in attendance, showcasing vehicles, equipment, and information stalls alongside their engagement teams. These activities will run alongside the usual food and drink, creating a vibrant build-up ahead of kick-off.
Stadium Visuals
During the Remembrance period, King Power Stadium and its surroundings will be dressed with large-scale poppy imagery - including high-level banners, illuminated crest lighting on the West Stand, and poppies projected around the Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Memorial Statue.
Fundraising For The RBL
As in previous years, Leicester City will support fundraising for the Royal British Legion. Collection pots will be positioned around the stadium, RBL volunteers will be present on site, and signed players’ shirts worn during Remembrance fixtures will be auctioned through Match Worn Shirt to raise funds for the Poppy Appeal.
LCFC Women
Remembrance will also be marked at the LCFC Women fixture against Arsenal on Sunday 2 November, with in-stadium tributes in line with previous seasons.
Tickets for Leicester City’s Remembrance fixture against Middlesbrough are on general sale.
